Coming soon

See where every student stands.

Progression tracking is coming to Volanti Operations: every student plotted against the syllabus, visible to everyone who teaches them, so readiness and blockers are clear at a glance.

The cost of not knowing

Knowledge held by one person

Often a single instructor knows who is close to solo, who needs a check flight and who is not ready yet. When they are flying or on leave, that knowledge is unavailable.

Stalled students go unnoticed

A student who has not flown for weeks rarely says they are stopping; they simply stop booking. Without a progression view, the drop-off is easy to miss until it is too late to act.

Handovers start from scratch

A new instructor inherits a student and a folder, and spends part of the lesson working out what recent lessons covered.

What we are building

The syllabus, at a glance.

Progression tracking will sit on top of our competency-based training records. As instructors sign exercises off, the view updates automatically, with no separate record to maintain.

  • Every student's position against the syllabus, at a glance
  • Blockers surfaced, such as a repeatedly deferred exercise or a student waiting on a test date
  • Students who have gone quiet flagged early
  • Readiness lists: who is ready for solo, who is ready for test

Built on training records

Progression is a view, not another form.

It reads directly from the digital training records we are building. A single sign-off updates the student's file, the instructor's view and the office's readiness list at once, with nothing entered twice.

How training records will work

One view, for everyone who teaches

The student

Sees how far they have come and what stands between them and the next milestone, which keeps them motivated and booking.

The instructor

Opens a lesson knowing exactly what the student has covered and with whom, even on a first flight together.

The head of training

Sees every student at once: who is on track, who has stalled, and where instructor time is best spent this month.

Help shape student progression
