Training records, without the paper.
We are building competency-based digital training records into Volanti Operations: one record per student, readable by everyone who needs it, and ready for audit at any time.
In active development. We are designing it with flight schools right now.
The problem with paper records
A paper training file exists in one place at a time, can only be read by one person at once, and is hard to reconstruct if a page is lost. Preparing those files for an audit takes real time that a school would rather spend flying.
What we are building
The record, rebuilt properly
Competency-based, not free-text
Each exercise will be recorded against defined competencies, with the instructor's assessment and sign-off, giving the next instructor a structured record to work from.
One source of truth
Student, instructor and office will read the same record at the same time, so a lesson is never briefed from an out-of-date or missing file.
Built for audit day
A complete, timestamped history for every student: what was flown, who signed it off and when. When the regulator asks, the answer is a search rather than a manual file review.
Built on what already runs.
Training records will sit inside Volanti Operations, on top of the training tools that already run today. Courses, enrolment, instructor diaries and flight charging are live now, and each record will attach to the lesson that was booked, flown and billed.
- Course enrolment, waiting lists and graduation: live today
- Every training flight logged and charged the moment it completes: live today
- Competency records attached to those flights: what we are building
